Inn: Showplace
This 10,000 square foot three-story Art
Deco showplace was designed with no budget, and built in 1937 by renowned
Seattle architect, Lionel Pries. According to legend, the home became “The
Grand Entertainment Capital of the Canal Region.” Clark Gable
slept in the room with the private balcony; his photograph is still on
the dresser.
Extraordinary formal gardens are accented
by a goldfish pond with lily pads and ambling paths to the beach with a
300 foot private pier and floating dock. Dock can accommodate guests,
boats, or can be used for fishing by guests. Arrive in your own sea
plane.
