HOWARD JOHNSON
One of America’s pioneering hoteliers.
Inn: Former mansion and home of Howard Johnson. Now owned and run by Johnson’s son, Howard Johnson Jr. and his wife, Joan.

Built in 1887, the Inn is a classic Victorian mansion with lots of gables and porches. Joan and Howard Johnson restored the home in 1985 and adorned it with Laura Ashley fabrics and Victorian furnishings. Used in many photo shoots for various publications, featured in Better Homes & Gardens. Eric Douglas slept here.

Accommodations:
7 guest rooms, 6 with private baths and/or showers, some with a fireplace and lake view. Telephone on request.
