Built in 1931 at a 4,000 foot elevation just one mile from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The home and cottages are set in an area long known as Uluwena (hidden place). Surrounded by a native ohia forest, the home has been compared to a house from an elfin fairy tale nestled within the fantasy of beautifully manicured botanical gardens.

Accommodations:
2 spacious suites in main residence. Guest cottage has 1 bedroom, lava rock fireplace, limited cooking facilities, gardens and covered lanai.

Gardener’s cottage has 3 bedrooms, large living room, and fully equipped kitchen. Deluxe cottage has private garden with fountain, fireplace, antique leaded windows, skylight, and kitchenette. Original, ash planked flooring with board-and-batten detailing from the 1930’s, along with diamond-paned leaded glass windows, sun porch with wicker chairs from the Moana Hotel in Waikiki, Oahu (the first large hotel in the state built in 1901) - reflect the glorious bygone era of Hawaii.

An eclectic array of antiques, art, and oriental carpets create a magical blend of local distinction. Complimentary continental breakfast included.
